Physicians
who specialize in radiology are trained to interpret results
of diagnostic imaging examinations and report their findings
to the patient's attending physician. The specialty requires
four years of postgraduate training in addition to an M.D. degree.
Radiography (X-rays), xerography, ultrasound, coaxial tomography
(CT scans) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) are used to
diagnose and treat disease conditions.
