Volunteer Opportunities
 Do
you enjoy being around other people and have free time to share
with others? Would you like to give something back to your community?
We would love for you to share your time and talents by volunteering
at Ephraim McDowell Fort Logan Hospital.
Our volunteers play an important role in helping us provide quality
health care to our patients. There are opportunities for every volunteer
to make a difference in someone's life. You may volunteer during
daytime, evening or weekend hours.
Before you volunteer, we will orient you to your responsibilities.

Ephraim McDowell Fort Logan Hospital Auxiliary
The Ephraim McDowell Fort Logan Hospital Auxiliary is geared toward individuals
with a warm heart who find purpose and joy in helping others. Our
Auxiliary has served Ephraim McDowell Fort Logan Hospital since 1963, through both
volunteer service and fund-raisers. We have more than 200 members and
always welcome new members.
The Auxiliary provides many important services that enhance the
care provided to patients, their family members and visitors. These
services include:
- Gift Shop - available in the front lobby, featuring a variety
of gift items.
- Stitched with Love - Sew and stuff pillows for surgery patients and make wheelchair and walker bags and caps for babies born in the hospital.
- Information Desk - Greet visitors, answer and direct telephone
calls.
- Music Service – Sing to residents at local nursing home.
- Any Patient Card Program – Distribute cards made by elementary school students
to patients.
- Patient Escort – Escort patients and visitors to different areas of the hospital.
The Auxiliary offers a Health Care Scholarship, which is awarded
to a Lincoln County High School senior pursuing a career in health
care.
Dues for Auxiliary membership are $5 for active members and $6
for Associate members. For more information about the Auxiliary
